Lisa began dancing (tap/jazz) at the age of four. She remembers a time when all our traditional dances were part of wedding celebrations and family gatherings. Lisa joined Louis Riel Métis Dancers in 2007, dancing under the direction of Yvonne Chartrand. She currently teaches Métis Dance in the Fraser Valley and has written and performed her own one-act theatrical dance piece called, "Bannock & Oatmeal".  Lisa is well-known and respected as a Métis Artist, celebrating culture through traditional beadwork, leatherwork and custom garment design.
